The Engineering team based in my clients headquarters in Poole, Dorset is capable of designing all the mechanical hardware, electronic systems, embedded software and PC system software required for the sophisticated interactive fare collection systems needed by bus and coach companies. The latest technology such as Global Positioning Satellites and Wireless Spread Spectrum Radio LANs are key features of their latest systems. New PC based reporting and processing systems use the MS SQL2000 database with Visual Basic for the front end and Crystal for reporting. The Engineering Department are now looking to recruit a;
TECHNICAL DESIGN AUTHORITY
As a TDA you will be the key representative for designing and documenting the system based on customer requirements.
Skills required:
· Degree qualified with an Engineering Discipline
· Minimum 5years relevant experience
· Excellent communications skills for both internal and external customer interfaces
· The ability to identify, specify and document systems requirements.
Main job functions:
· Support and form a team with the Project Manger to agree the requirements baseline
· Design and document the System to meet the customer`s requirements and aspirations based on the standard Products
· Form the main technical contact with the customer
· Identify, specify and document any non-standard system requirements and agree these with the Engineering Director*Product Manager to ensure that they form part of the Product Development Strategy
· Support the Sales Team with initial enquires for Systems
